You gotta love the weather in Alberta, especially when it snows at the end of May, You what they say, “if you don’t like the weather in Alberta, just wait 5 minutes.”

Meet Ben and Carrie, an awesome couple that are so in love. This was one of my favorite shots of the entire wicked engagement shoot – it captures every drop of feelings they have for each other. I can’t wait till the wedding in July, it’s in the mountains

Today was the 50 year anniversary of Goldbar Elementary School. I went there from K to 6 and haven’t been back since. I just love the way the human mind works, well at least the way my mind works. I find it just amazing how I was able to access memories from over 30 years ago as if it were just yesterday. I wonder if anyone has ever tried to measure how much memory the human brain has in computer terms – how many terabytes? To see the the place where I first kissed a girl (who’s name I still remember), or to see where I had my first school yard fight, the strap, the death needle for immunizations, dodge ball . . . the list goes on. These hallways are full of so many memories for so many children over the past 50 years, kinda cool when you think about it!

I had an amazing engagement shoot today with Ben and Carrie! Ben is a pilot, just in case you didn’t get that from this image and the title of the image. This is probably my favorite location to date for an engagement shoot, OK I’m a little bias seeing as though I was a pilot myself a while back. I will be posting some images from the shoot over the next couple of days on my blog – please feel free to click on the link above to check them out if you like. Ahh, wedding season has officially begun

Today my wife and I became the Godparents of this sweet little angle. That’s right folks from now on I am to be addressed as “The Godfather”

Even though it was kind of a rainy day today, it was a great day for a track meet. Any day that school is canceled for an event is a good day.

I must say, it is pretty cool to hear the lawn mower running in the backyard and not being the one that is pushing it. Thanks son!

Now that the nice weather is here and it looks to stay I am finding myself outside more looking for wicked light. Nothing beats the golden hour sprinkled with a little bokeh.

I don’t want to jinx it but I think it is here for good now. After last weeks snowfall, anything can happen but let’s cross our fingers that it is over for at least a couple of months.
